This gray April morning I sit listening to the sounds of the frogs calling on the rains, the thunder answering "coming, I'm coming"; and the finch squabbling on the feeders. While that doesn't make a haiku, it did make me search for one.
I found this lovely by: Matsuo BashÅ, a great poet and essayist of the Edo period (1603-1867).
